About Frog Haven Enterprises

I've used Frog Haven as my company name since I moved back to the US from France back in the eighties. The company consists of myself and when required the help of a few friends I've networked with over the years. The company activity has two somewhat dissimular activities; software application development (which is what this web site is primarily concern with), and a side activity in income property management and maintenence.

The company’s base of operation is located here in Newport, Oregon with resources to work locally in the Portland, Oregon and San Jose, California areas. I use 3 servers and 2 workstations for my development work. The web server is operating full time with dedicated high speed internet service provided by Charter, the second server houses the SQL server and network administration activities, the 3rd server is the file and print server.

All of my program development activity is done using Microsoft tools, servers and applications. As a Microsoft Preferred Partner and member of the Microsoft Software Developemnt Network I have access to the technical backup, support and software tools to undertake this activity. I’ve been actively programming for over 3 decades and programming around the Windows platform since it first came out. While I’ve programmed in many different languages and systems my current efforts have been using VB.NET, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, SQL server, Visual Studio, Microsoft Expression suite, Photoshop, JavaScript, Microsoft Office, and Cascade Style Sheets. I’ve also done some application development for Windows applications, and used VBA for custom Microsoft Office application. Almost everthing I’ve done has been using the cleint-server enviroment.
